I'm a conservation and evolutionary biologist, who mostly enjoys teaching these days. I'm an Associate Professor at Olive-Harvey College, one of the Chicago City Colleges. I am also a Visiting Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Research Associate at the Field Museum. My research is diverse and interdisciplinary, and is divided between traditional approaches to conservation biology, less traditional integration of conservation with the social sciences, and evolutionary biology.
