The focus of my more traditional research is the exploration and mitigation of anthropogenic effects on natural systems. I use population and molecular genetics (often incorporating museum DNA), morphometrics, extinction prediction, and ecological techniques to conserve small mammals in island and mainland settings.
Also, I'm Steward of the CCC Wetland & Acting Steward of Cranberry Slough Nature Preserve.
